Acoustic Wall Panel Installation Guide | Churchill Panels

Professional Results, Simplified Churchill Panels are designed for straightforward installation in both residential and professional interiors. Whether you are a professional installer or a confident DIY enthusiast, our panels can be mounted quickly using standard tools to achieve a seamless, architectural finish.

Step 1: Preparation & Acclimatisation

  • Surface Check: Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and structurally sound before beginning.
  • Acclimatise: We recommend allowing panels to sit in the room for at least 24 hours to adjust to the temperature and humidity.
  • Versatility: Panels can be installed on plasterboard, masonry, or timber walls.

Step 2: Installation Methods

  • Adhesive Fixing: For a clean, screw-free finish on smooth surfaces, apply a strong grab adhesive evenly to the back of the PET felt and press firmly against the wall.
  • Mechanical Fixing: For uneven surfaces or added security, secure panels by driving screws through the black felt backing directly into the wall or timber battens.

Step 3: Cutting & Adjustments

  • Precision Cutting: Trimming wood slats is easy with a fine-tooth saw.
  • Felt Cutting: The PET felt backing can be cut to size using a sharp utility knife.
  • Planning: Always allow a 10% margin for waste when measuring around sockets, corners, and edges.

Maintenance & Care Churchill Panels require minimal maintenance. An occasional dusting with a soft cloth or vacuum attachment is all that’s needed to keep them looking pristine. Avoid direct contact with water or excessive moisture.
