Professional Results, Simplified. Churchill Panels are designed for straightforward installation across our entire architectural range. Whether you are creating a modern interior feature wall or a durable outdoor living space, our products are engineered to achieve a premium, seamless finish.
1. Acoustic Wall Panels (Indoor)
Ideal for Media Walls, Bedrooms, and Home Offices.
Preparation
- Surface Check: Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and structurally sound before beginning.
- Acclimatisation: We recommend allowing panels to sit in the room for at least 24 hours to adjust to local temperature and humidity.
Installation Methods
- Adhesive Fixing: For a clean, screw-free finish on smooth surfaces, apply a strong grab adhesive evenly to the back of the PET felt and press firmly against the wall.
- Mechanical Fixing: For added security, secure panels by driving screws through the black felt backing directly into the wall or timber battens.
Cutting & Adjustments
- Slats: Use a fine-tooth saw for precision trimming of the wood slats.
- Felt: The PET felt backing can be easily cut to size using a sharp utility knife.
2. Outdoor Cladding
Premium exterior protection for residential facades and feature walls.
Preparation
- Airflow & Drainage: Install a sub-frame of treated timber or aluminium battens at 300mm–400mm intervals. A 20mm cavity is required to allow essential ventilation behind the panels.
- Expansion Gaps: WPC materials expand and contract. Always allow a 5mm–8mm gap at all junctions, corners, and window frames.
Installation
- Starter Clips: Secure your first row using starter clips to establish a perfectly level base.
- Hidden Fasteners: Use our interlocking T-clip system between boards. This allows for natural thermal movement and ensures a clean, screw-free aesthetic.
- Alignment: Check every third board with a spirit level to maintain perfect vertical or horizontal alignment.
3. Outdoor Decking
High-performance, anti-slip flooring for gardens and terraces.
Sub-Frame Setup
- Joist Spacing: Joists should be spaced no more than 300mm apart to ensure a solid, stable foundation.
- Drainage Gradient: Ensure the sub-frame has a slight 1% slope to allow water to run off the boards and prevent pooling.
Installation
- Side-Clip System: Use the specialized clips to secure boards to the joists. These clips automatically set the required 5mm drainage gap between boards.
- End-to-End Joins: When joining boards end-to-end, use double joists at the meeting point and leave a 3mm gap for expansion.
- Finishing: Use color-matched edge trims or bullnose boards to cover exposed joists for a professional finish.
